Church accounting

Fund accounting without the guesswork

Track every dollar by account and by fund, keep donor restrictions intact, and produce nonprofit-style statements your board and auditors can trust.

Get started

How a restricted gift flows

  1. A donor gives $500 designated for the building.
  2. The batch posts: Operating Checking (Building Fund) ↑ and Building Fund Gifts ↑.
  3. The bank balance rises, and so does the Building Fund. Other funds don't change.
  4. When the project is complete, a treasurer releases the restriction with a documented reason.

Self-balancing funds

Every entry must balance overall and within each fund, so fund balances are always meaningful.

Bank ≠ fund

One checking account can hold several funds. Moving cash between banks never changes a fund's restriction.

No silent edits

Posted entries are corrected with reversals or adjustments, and closed periods block back-dated changes.

Cash or accrual

Choose your basis at setup. Bills become expenses at approval (accrual) or payment (cash), never both.

Reconciliation

Mark cleared items against the statement and finalize only at a zero difference. Changes to reconciled items are flagged in the audit log.

Reports that tie out

Every report is computed from the ledger, with drill-down from totals to individual transactions.
